📝 Full credit applications (customer)
Customers complete the full application at rerollautos.com/apply.html (also linked from the homepage financing section + final CTA). 2 steps, modeled on Form 2551 page 1: ① About you (name, DOB, phone, emails, address, time at residence) ② Money & credit (employer/title/time on job, monthly gross income, income type W2/1099/retirement/disability/other, SSN, est. score, repo-in-6-months, co-signer, situation). Per Cyrus: no average-daily-balance, no credit-account login, no supervisor.
• The full application is AES-256 encrypted before storage — the SSN never rides the normal lead pipeline, never hits GoHighLevel, and is never kept in the customer's browser.
• The team still gets the normal lead notification (name, phone, income, score range — no PII) via the Leads pipeline.
• Review applications here under Applications (managers + admins): Open = detail view, 🖨 Print = office copy with signature line.
• Storage turns on with the same env vars as deals (Blob + DEAL_ENCRYPTION_KEY + ADMIN_TOKEN).

🔖 Plate colors — the HB 718 metal-plate legend (verified)
Under HB 718 (eff. July 1, 2025), Texas replaced paper temp tags with color-coded metal plates issued at point of sale. The colors are real and official (TxDMV Dealer Reference Brochure):
Your original recollection, corrected: green = out-of-state ✓ · blue = "agent" → it's Dealer Temporary (agent category was eliminated) · black & white = the buyer's plate, not the dealer's · purple = Buyer Provisional, not "in-transit."
Reorders ship direct-to-dealer, ~3–4 weeks (report non-receipt after 45 days). Sources: TxDMV Dealer License Plates, HB 718 Implementation, Transp. Code Ch. 503, TxIADA. Any plate can be renamed/edited under Plate Inventory › ⚙ Types.
General Issue (black & white) — the plate you give the buyer at sale; stays with the vehicle. Most common. $10 fee (buyer → county).
Blue — Dealer Temporary — dealer business use only (test drives, loaners, transport). $10. Replaced the old agent & vehicle-specific tags. Not for personal use or delivering a car to a buyer.
Green — Out-of-State Buyer — vehicle sold to a non-TX buyer. Valid 60 days. No fee.
Purple — Buyer Provisional — when you don't stock the correct plate type for that vehicle. Valid until 7 days after the permanent plate is assigned. No fee.
Red — Temp Registration — replaced the 30-day/one-trip permits; issued by county/TxDMV, not dealers.
Standard Dealer plate (GDN) — your dealership's own plate (demo/loaner/personal use OK). $90, 2-year term, expires with your license. Explicitly not the blue plate.

🌐 webDEALER / ePLATE
What it is: webDEALER is the TxDMV system where we process title applications and print/assign plates/tags (ePLATE, formerly eTAG). Every retail sale gets recorded here.
Normal sale: complete the deal in the Forms Station → enter the sale + buyer + vehicle in webDEALER → assign/print the plate → record the metal plate number on the Plate Inventory tab (Issue / Check out).
⏱ Internet-Down procedure (critical): the old paper Internet-Down tag was eliminated by HB 718 on July 1, 2025 — so confirm the current system-down fallback with TxDMV before relying on it. If you do issue a backup tag when webDEALER is down (write buyer + vehicle on it), log it here under Plate Inventory (type Internet-Down → Issue), then enter the transaction in webDEALER within 24 hours once the system is back and tick webDEALER ✓. The alert bar flags any internet-down tag still pending — do not let it sit past 24 hrs.

Reusable metal plates (dealer/green/blue/purple): Check out to the employee/dealer who's taking it, with the date. When it comes back, Check in — that records the return date and puts it back on hand. The activity log keeps the full history.
Consumable tags (internet-down, temp): use Issue — capture the buyer + vehicle; these don't come back.
Expiration: dealer metal plates carry an expiration; the tool warns at 30 days and flags expired.
Low stock: each type has a "reorder at" threshold — when on-hand drops to it, you get an alert (order early, TxDMV takes ~2–3 weeks).

🧾 VIT (Vehicle Inventory Tax)
File Form 50-246 monthly with the county tax office listing the prior month's sales, due the 10th — even in months with zero sales. Unit property tax per vehicle = sale price × our VIT factor. Annual Form 50-244 declaration is due Feb 1. Missing a month risks up to $100/day + $500/month in penalties, so the VIT tab is built to auto-prepare the statement on the 2nd and draft a waiver letter if a month was missed. (See the VIT tab.)
